- #1 Scar cream for problem-skins according to The Sunday Times.
- Recommended by British Association of Skin Camouflage.
- Diminishes, lightens and smoothes the scars!
Mother of Pearl cream is a natural skin ointment produced from marine shells. Its key ingredient is a natural powder produced by breaking down the shell. The mother of pearl bead is placed within a clam to produce the nacre that forms the powder.
Once applied, Mother of Pearl cream is absorbed by the dermis and epidermis of the skin. The cream reduces the fat content in the tissue and forms an external thin protective film to prevent environmental damage and to reserve a suitable quantity of moisture for the skin.
Mother of Pearl powder contains nine kinds of protein amino acids plus other microelements. Amino Acids are organic molecules that form the basic constituents of protein. These are broken down by a process called ‘hydrolysation’ and absorbed into the bloodstream if taken orally or applied to the skin.
Mother of Pearl cream can be beneficial on skin changes brought about by stress, fatigue, ageing, acne scarring, sun exposure and pregnancy. There are no known side effects and the cream is suitable for people of any age, sex and skin type. It should not, however, be used during pregnancy.
